Hertfordshire Bird Atlas

The production of bird distribution atlases is not confined to the UK. Many other countries and regions have gained a greater insight into the distributions of their bird populations in this way. Depending on local circumstances the mapping scale and survey intensity varies widely.

Many of these organisations having taken a similar stance to the Herts Bird Club in making the distribution maps available on the internet. The links on the right provide access to those that we know about. This does not include sites that only act as a data collection portal for an Atlas Project or merely refer to a published book.
